Around every corner is another stunning view.

Around 22 kms before Munnar there is Anayirankal dam, a vast expense of water surrounded by green carpeted hills covered with tea gardens.

This is Top Station which is 41 kms uphill from Munnar, located at border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Anamudi is the highest peak is Western Ghats situated at 2695 mts above sea level, 50 kms away from Munnar. it is also the ideal place for wild life travelers and nature lovers.

 

Mattupetty is famous for its highly specialized dairy farm, the Indo-Swiss project. It is 13 kms away from Munnar

Sandalwood Forest of Marayoor and the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is simply irresistible.

The total budget estimated for the hosting of 19th commonwealth games US$ 1.6 billion and this amount excludes non sports related infrastructure development in the city like airports, roads and other structures. This makes this commonwealth Games as the most expensive commonwealth games ever.
